DESCRIPTION:Connecting The Rainbow: Healing Perinatal Trauma\nOctober 21 and 22\, 2026\nOne or Two Day Schedule 7/14 Hours CEs*\nTrainer: Jana Glass\, LPC\, PMH-C\, MAC \nThis Workshop is a one OR two-day online learning experience live via Zoom \n9:00am-5:00pm (U.S. Eastern time zone) \nDay 1-October 21 is open to ALL professionals interested in advanced training on the Perinatal Population \nDay 2- October 22 is open to any individual who has at minimum taken a live or in-person Phase 1 Brainspotting Training \nYou may sign up for Day 1 or Both Days if you meet the day 2 training prerequisite. \nThis workshop is dynamic and includes guest speakers who share their own loss journey and Dr. Janelle Peifer guest lecturing on working with people of color during the perinatal period. \nParticipants of Day 1 will be able to: \n\nDefine Perinatal Trauma\nDescribe the effects of trauma on an individual and family system\nKnow risk factors and populations at increased risk for perinatal trauma\nIdentifying common threads and themes for perinatal grief and loss\nBest practices to mitigate trauma effects\nLearn the phases of the perinatal period through The Rainbow Arc of Perinatal Trauma© where trauma can occur with an overview of core concerns in each phase of the family building process\nUnderstand the core principles of Brainspotting and how they are a natural fit with this population\nIncrease confidence and competency when engaging with this population\nBe aware of racial and cultural considerations and how to be most effective\nIncrease understanding of the relevancy of using Brainspotting in the Perinatal Period and pregnancy\n\nParticipants of Day 2 will be able to: \n\nIdentify professional struggles with the perinatal population\nSelf evaluate burnout and engage in self compassion exercise\nExpand upon the principles of Brainspotting and how to use these tools to help your client in the healing process.\nIntegrating Brainspotting in to your practice with pregancy and during the perinatal period\nIncrease understanding of the relevancy of using Brainspotting in the Perinatal Period and pregnancy\nReduce concerns about using Brainspotting during pregnancy\nDiscuss which Brainspotting Phase training tools are helpful to the population\nLearning how to set up a session using “Connecting the Rainbow” approach through demonstration and dyad practicum\nThis approach is applicable across various populations and will be introduced through the perinatal lens.\n\n*This training meets the Postpartum Support International Advanced Training Hours for Certification and Continuing Education for recertification for the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) \nDates and Times: \nUS Eastern Time Zone/ Ontario and Quebec Provinces Canada \n\n\n\n\nDay\nDate\nStart Time\nEnd Time\n\n\nWednesday\nOctober 21\n9:00 AM\n5:00 PM\n\n\nThursday\nOctober 22\n9:00 AM\n5:00 PM\n\n\n\n\nParticipant Feedback: \n“I like most that Jana was able to answer questions and give detailed responses and was patient in re-explaining what was difficult to initially comprehend.
